As It Is In Heaven is an opal-esque treasure light. Inspired by the world’s largest and most valuable gem opal ‘Olympic Australis’, found in the outback town of Coober Pedy, South Australia, this artistic installation features a collection of pendants fastened in clusters to a white ceiling plate. Illuminated by LED downlights, each pendant combines coloured Acrylic discs of varied length and size and is finished with a faceted Glass beads. The result is a design which captures, diffracts and throws the light – just like an Australian opal sparkling up from the red dirt. A kaleidoscope of colour bleeds across ceilings, walls and surfaces emulating the feeling of warmth felt from the outback. As It Is In Heaven would suit hotel, casino and retail foyers or large spaces.
