The Winthrop Center in Boston is home to cutting-edge office and lifestyle amenities including 2 fitness clubs, a 75′ indoor swimming pool, sweeping outdoor terraces, staffed bar and a dog spa (can’t beat it). The project, designed in partnership with MIT professors, will be the largest Passive House office building in the world in addition to LEED Platinum and WELL Gold certification.
This confidential client’s office space within the Center took inspiration from New England’s maritime lifestyle and brought a Cape Cod palette to the overall design aesthetic. The result is a light-filled space with soft wood tones and pops of blue. The central stair showcases our “Unwind” fixture with semi-circles of plywood forming a sweeping pattern and spanning over 30′ in length. LEDs add sparkle from polished rods dropping in various heights, like the clear night sky in Boston’s coveted seaside retreats. A huge shoutout to our partner, OTJ Architects, on this stunning sustainable collaboration.
