About Us
Discover a newly imagined landmark at the Benjamin Hotel located on the corner of 50th and Lexington Avenue in midtown Manhattan. Fusing past and present, DLR Group designed an urban oasis with nods to classical elegance and modern flair. Originally built in 1927 and named “The Beverly” hotel, the property inspired acclaimed artist Georgia O’Keefe’s work “New York Night”. Taking inspiration from this narrative, the concept plays off of Benjamin (“Ben”) and Beverly (“Bev”) and the interplay of masculine and feminine elements. We partnered with DLR Group to create an Instagram-worthy sculpture in the lobby that captures “Bev” through reflective gilded curves and a soft, organic form. The installation, built with over 430 elements, exudes the whit and whimsical history for guests to enjoy.
