Located at Baha Mar in the Bahamas, the musical legend’s first-ever club experience is inspired by the golden age of Bahamian night clubs in the 50’s and 60’s. Designed by Gensler, the space is crafted with luxurious finishes, one-of-a-kind artwork and a cutting-edge stage. At 8, Batiste played percussion and drums before switching to the piano at 11. We took inspiration from his musical roots and created an installation comprised of suspended cymbals, a key instrument in percussion. These authentic, copper alloy plates sparkle and reflect the many layers of the club – from the cocktails to the extravagant LED lighting. This Instagrammable moment is a nod to the most important piece of this venue – the music.
