Project Details Assembly Innovation Park, developed by BioMed Realty and designed by Perkins&Will, is a trio of LEED Platinum lab and office buildings situated on a one-acre park outside of Boston. The vision was to create a community for innovators in the life science sector that celebrates art, dining, wellness and culture. Assembly Innovation Park, developed by BioMed Realty and designed by Perkins&Will, is a trio of LEED Platinum lab and office buildings situated on a one-acre park outside of Boston. The vision was to create a community for innovators in the life science sector that celebrates art, dining, wellness and culture.
Perkins&Will strived to design a human-centered space that felt comforting and inspiring. Our “Fragmented Illusion” light sculpture captures the creative essence of this campus, functioning not only as light, but art, in the lobby space. It provides a warm welcome to employees and visitors alike (and also a great spot to break out and collaborate!). Measuring 19′ in length, over 200 abstract elements in various warm white finishes are suspended by cables and lit by LED bi-pins for subtle sparkle. We’re here for the innovation.
