Branded as “an escape from the airport crowd,” Capital One airport lounges include amenities, food, and relaxation rooms that define a luxury airport experience. We worked with Studio K Creative to execute their vision of this all-inclusive experience at Dallas airport. They sought a large-scale light fixture to hang over the bar area that appeared like a piece of cloth or a drape “visually floating in space.” The design brief called for a light fixture that utilized a unique lighting moment and a sculptural look that defined the space even when the lighting was not in use. Using several hundred bent metal rod elements lit with LED strips, we created an organic and futuristic design in Capital One’s signature red.
